Summer Learning Journey Week 4 Day 2

 Aloha bloggers

Today Summer Learning Journey I did this activity called "Summer sounds" I need to highlight words from a poem. The first seat of highlights that I needed to do were paper and a were sound words. the next set I needed to highlight the was that I didn't know in blue. I am only had one word that I didn't know. The word was asphalt. I learnt that the word asphalt on of the meaning is:

A dark bituminous substance found in natural beds and as residue from petroleum distillation; consists mainly of hydrocarbons.

After that I wrote a poem about summer sounds. Here is the link and a photo of my poem:

Then I needed to go outside to record some summer sound.

Here is a link to the video:

  1. Mōrena Vivian,

It’s Charlotte here, a commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. You have done some amazing work on the ‘Summer Sounds’ task!

I like how you included the definition for the words you didn’t know in your blog post! This will help out the readers that are also unsure of the meaning of the work, ka pai!

I thought this activity was super cool because I found it amazing how many different sounds you can hear while standing in your backyard! I wonder what different sounds you would be able to hear if you were standing in the forest compared to your back/front yards, what do you think?
