Aloha Bloggers
Today is Christmas Eve And I am so excited! 1 because it is almost christmas and 2 because I Am going to get a lot of presents. But I am supposed to tell you about what I did for Summer learning Journey. So let get started!
Today I made a little fake dam because it was not raining and I never have seen a dam made out of shells. But I did watch a video with instructions and It said that It can use things from the beach then I made a copy of a goggle drawing and add a photo of the dam I made. Next I wrote a description about what I used to make it. Here is a photo / a screenshot. Of my description and photo:
Please tell me if I made any mistakes. Bye bloggers and blog you later 😃.
Ka pai Vivian. I like the way you made the dam transparent. Wouldn't that be cool if real dams were transparent so you could see the water underneath! Do you think you could test out your dam on real water? Would it still work?
ReplyDeleteKia Ora Vivian,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.
This activity was fun as you had to put on your thinkers cap and find materials that are natural and sturdy enough to form a dam, using beavers as inspiration is a great idea as they are natures dam builders!
I think your design looks great and sturdy and I am sure it would hold up well if you stack the shells well. I think it was very creative of you to find materials around the house to create your own at home version of a dam. Have you considered testing it out with some water in a tub or container?
Merry Christmas, Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.
Ngā mihi nui,
Zana Yates
